5 Facts Book lovers need to know about Audible
Most book nerds have some very strong opinions about Audible when it comes to ‘counting’ as reading a book or not. I used to be one of those people until someone set me down and told me I was was being kind of dumb and gatekeeping reading. Seriously, they said that. If you find yourself with opinions like mine used to be, these 5 facts are going to blow you away. Audible is not a replacement for books I originally wasn’t a fan of audible because I thought of it as more of a “book on tape” which it absolutely is not. Audible isn’t out here trying to replace…

The 7 1/2 Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle
May’s Book Club Pick is The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. It is available on Kindle Unlimited so if you do not have Kindle Unlimited and are interested in getting it, be sure to click on that link to get your first month of Membership free. I try to make sure at least half of the book club picks are on Kindle Unlimited to save a little money. The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle was originally recommended to me at The Book And Cover after I told them I loved Verity. Hopefully it’s just as gripping and we will have exciting things to talk about…

The Hunting Wives Review
What the hell did I just read? First of all, I did not know The Hunting Wives by May Cobb was such a slutty beach read when I picked it for the April book club book. In no way am I saying I didn’t enjoy it or I’m against slutty beach reads, because I’m not – I just wasn’t expecting it from this book. I don’t “rate” books because that’s way too stressful for me. For The Hunting Wives review I do have to give May Cobb some serious credit though because I genuinely did not see most of the twists coming. This isn’t my usual kind of messed up…

April Book Of The Month
The April book club pick is The Hunting Wives by May Cobb. The book has been out for about a year now and I’ve heard good things about how twisty and crazy it is and you know how I love my crazy books. The description on May Cobbs website says The Hunting Wives share more than target practice, martinis, and bad behavior in this novel of obsession, seduction, and murder. Sophie O’Neill left behind an envy-inspiring career and the stressful, competitive life of big-city Chicago to settle down with her husband and young son in a small Texas town. It seems like the perfect life with a beautiful home in…

February Book Club Pick
With reviews like these I knew we needed to add Dark Matter to the book club "You'll gulp Dark Matter down in one afternoon, or more likely one night... Alternate-universe science fiction [and] a countdown thriller in which the hero must accomplish an impossible task to save his family. There's always another door to open, and another page to turn." —New York Times Book Review "A mind-blowing sci-fi/suspense/love-story mash-up." —Entertainment Weekly "A fast, tasty read with a killer twist. It's a whole bag of barbecue chips...just sitting there waiting for you to devour in one long rush." —NPR.org "A hard tale to shake...makes its characters—and readers—wonder what life would have…

Whats Left Unsaid Review
I'm a big believer in if you don't like a book don't finish it. Time is precious and there is no reason to waste it reading a book you hate. It took a LOT for me to finish What's Left Unsaid by Emily Bleeker. I had seen this book everywhere and it showed up on reading recommendations a lot so I felt the need to finish it so you don't have to. Be aware there ARE SPOILERS in this post. If you want to read the book, finish it before reading this post.
