What is Bike Chattanooga?
Bike Chattanooga refers to itself as a bicycle transit system. Those blue bikes you see around the Scenic City are part of a bike share system providing travelers and locals alike a cost effective way to take short distant point A to point B trips around Chattanooga. There are 400 bikes in the 42 stations across Chattanooga.
How does Bike Chattanooga work?
To check out a bike a pass can be purchased online, at a kiosk, or from the cycle finder app. Once the pass is obtained check a bike outĀ from any station and return it to any of the other stations across the city with an open dock within 60 minutes to avoid extra usage fees.
How much does it cost?
For $8 a daily pass can be purchased allowing unlimited 60 minutes rides for a 24 hour period. A 3 day pass may be purchased for $15 to enjoy as many 60 minute rides as you would like in 72 hours. A $50 annual pass includes unlimited 60 minute rides for a full year.
What happens if you go over 60 minutes?
Overage fees are $5 per 30 minutes of trip time. If you want to ride more than 60 minutes and avoid the overage fees you can dock your bike and check out another bike to keep your trip going with out the fee.
Where can you find the bikes?
Each of docking stations have a map with other docking stations on them. Maps can also be found on the cycle finder app or on Bike Chattanoogas website.
