Sleepyhead Coffee Downtown Chattanooga location is a boho lovers dream. It’s located in the historic James building and can most easily be described as pink and planty. When you first walk into the James building the coffee shop is on the left.  After ordering your coffee, go across the entry way to the sitting room area to the right of the front doors.



Sleepyhead Coffee Shop Story



Sleepyhead Coffee got its start as a coffee cart in October of 2018 according to their website. March 4th, 2019 the James building became Sleepyheads new home where the owners Brandon and Christian were determined to bring a safe welcoming space to Downtown Chattanooga. It is now a well known location and one of the most instagrammed spots in Chattanooga. I 100% made that fact up but if you take a look at instagram and see all the wake up sleepyhead selfies, I’m probably right.

Sleepyhead was one of the first stops on my search for the best coffee shop in Chattanooga, mostly because of how cute it looked on instagram. I ordered the sleepyhead latte and got a mellow matcha because I wanted to try something new and different. I found out I’m not really a matcha fan but the matcha is really good for those of you that enjoy matcha.



Sleepyhead Menu



One of the many things that makes Sleepyhead stand out is the fact that their menu is vegan and mostly gluten free. They have donuts like the Lemon Lavender and Coconut Maple that are fabulous even if you don’t stick to a strict diet. (Aka if you don’t usually eat vegan foods and you get kind of nervous when you’re somewhere that only has foods of that sort, the food is still yummy.)



Sleepyhead Merch

They have some of the cutest merch I have ever seen in the shop and you know I just had to get a hat that said sleepyhead. If you also need one of those hats (or any of their other merch) but are not in the Chattanooga area they sell their merch online as well.
