Things are about to start looking a little bit different around the Coie’s Questions world. We have talked a few times about this being my dream, it was never Jays. He enjoys talking with y’all, but the full time travel and food and everything has always been my world. Jay has a “big girl career” that he absolutely adores and a family, because of that he does not have the time to devote to the Coie’s Questions world that I do. Don’t worry loyal defenders of Jay, he will still be cohosting the podcast he just will not be joining me in the other aspects of the community. Jay’s used to it being my world – he’s just living in it. There is no rift in our friendship so there’s nothing to worry about there.
The podcast isn’t changing much, but we have hired a couple editors that ultimately weren’t a great fit with the Coie’s Questions team. We are still on a search for the perfect editor so if you know someone be sure to let me know! We are working on getting the podcast a great sound because y’all deserve better than we have published. We’ve been missing for a while and I am working on getting us caught up and back on the regular schedule. Thank you so much for your patience with us during this time.
I’ve mentioned expanding to YouTube a few times and the channel is up so make sure to subscribe so you will know the the first videos go live. After talking with y’all I’ve decided the Coie’s Questions YouTube channel will start out a little bit of everything and we will refine it down to your favorites as we go.
With being my dream and becoming my full time job I’ve looked at ways to start monetizing with out selling out. Y’all all know I’ve said from the beginning we will not advertise anything on the podcast that we don’t personally use or believe in and that will continue to hold true through out the other areas of Coie’s Questions as well. We have set up a Patreon with a few tiers and options (and would love to hear more about the things you would like to see available), a BuyMeACoffee for anyone that wants to help build the community but isn’t interested in Patreon options, the option to join my instagram close friends group for bonus content only a limited number of people will be able to see, and we will be using Amazon Affiliate links to provide you with links to what we recommend at no additional cost to you, and opened up the ability for podcast episodes to be sponsored. It is very important to me to keep this from feeling skezzy or sounding unreliable on recommendations. I want to bring you the best content possible and continue to build this community full time.
The website will be undergoing some changes as well to make it more easily accessible and more useful to y’all. It will take a little bit to be fully redone but I am working on it daily. I’m not a computer nerd by any means so there is lots of cussing happening behind the scenes but it’s coming along. I will be blogging more regularly and Amandas foodie facts to go along with each state are still going to be going up weekly. Merch is coming, but will likely be a few more months until that is live for everyone. For our opinion team I hope to have merch to test out by November. I’m also looking to add a bookclub as well for all the other book nerds in the community. If you’re interested in that be sure to let me know!
Thank you all so much for allowing me to live my dream, and build a community with y’all. I am so grateful for all of the friends I’ve made along the way so far and can not wait to see what the future holds.
