If you’re from the south, you know exactly what I’m talking about. You wake up one day in September and it feels like Fall. You pull out your favorite cute fall outfits and your pumpkin scented candles and get excited about the day. The next thing you know it’s lunch time it’s 90 degrees and you’re desperately searching your car for those shorts you know you left in there last week. After about a week of that it is back in the 80’s regularly and you’re trying to pretend it’s cold outside and you’re fall decor isn’t out too early.
As I’m writing this I’m wearing a hoodie and leggings and watching the fog lift from the mountains knowing all to well in a couple hours I’ll be wearing shorts. Fake Fall isn’t getting to me this year though because I know this time next week I will be in New England experiencing some of the best Autumn atmosphere the United States has to offer.
I have seen “real fall” before but I have never seen it in New England and I’m excited to take y’all along with me on the journey. From all the research I’ve been doing it seems like those Hallmark Harvest movies are exactly what I’m walking in to and I can. not. wait!
I will be documenting the entire trip for the Youtube Channel as well as blogging along the way. Some of the Patreon tiers will also be getting exclusive content and behind the scenes views throughout the trip, so make sure you check those tiers out.
Some of the things I’m most excited for are:
- Picking apples at an apple orchard
- Finding out what apple cider donuts are and why we don’t have them in the south
- Seeing how beautiful the region is with all the colors changing
- Wearing cute fall clothes I never get to wear (shut up it’s exciting)
- Cider. Bring on all the Cider!
- Fall Foliage train rides
- Hikes with Bruno
- Exploring the charm
What I’m most nervous about:
- Freezing to death!
I’m serious. I am not made for the cold. And I’m staying in a TENT. I have a heater and warm blankets and stuff but if I told you I wasn’t even the least bit nervous about it I would be a damn liar. Your girl can’t turn into a Coiesicle or life would get pretty boring around here.
What are you most excited to see from this trip? Is there something I need to do that I forgot to mention? Let me know in the comments y’all. And if you know about food I need to eat, PUHleeze make sure to tell me about it.
