Chattanooga Fall Bucket List
Fall is easily my favorite season. It's something about the crisp fresh air and renewed energy to research and learn. Ok, yeah, I'm a nerd like that. Anyway. Fall always feels like the beginning of a new chapter to me and to celebrate that I created the Ultimate Chattanooga Fall Bucket List so you can live your best Autumn.

Weird News Wednesday Has Plenty Of Wives
Imagine you’re drinking your morning tea or coffee and you open up the newspaper to find this headline “Has Plenty Of Wives – Atlanta Woman on Trail of Her Husband”. That would be a conversation starter for the day for sure. Now imagine it’s 111 years later and you’re researching the Stong Building for your Chattanooga History Series and you see that headline. Obviously, if you’re me, that brings up about one trillion new questions and leads to a new series on the Chattin with Coie blog. The Original Newspaper Article Weird News Summary Charles A Wellis sometimes went by Charles A Wellnitz and had been married a few times.…

Honesty About What Really Matters
We need to have a little heart to heart real quick. Honesty is important to me. You trusting me matters to me. I do not want you to ever think I’m promoting something or somewhere because it benefits me. What I’m doing here is my dream job. I wake up everyday grateful for getting to do this. None of that means anything if you don’t know that I am 100% honest with you at all times. I have struggled with learning how to navigate situations where I have less than wonderful things to say about a place or a situation. I know people put their heart and souls into their…

The 7 1/2 Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle
May’s Book Club Pick is The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. It is available on Kindle Unlimited so if you do not have Kindle Unlimited and are interested in getting it, be sure to click on that link to get your first month of Membership free. I try to make sure at least half of the book club picks are on Kindle Unlimited to save a little money. The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle was originally recommended to me at The Book And Cover after I told them I loved Verity. Hopefully it’s just as gripping and we will have exciting things to talk about…

The Hunting Wives Review
What the hell did I just read? First of all, I did not know The Hunting Wives by May Cobb was such a slutty beach read when I picked it for the April book club book. In no way am I saying I didn’t enjoy it or I’m against slutty beach reads, because I’m not – I just wasn’t expecting it from this book. I don’t “rate” books because that’s way too stressful for me. For The Hunting Wives review I do have to give May Cobb some serious credit though because I genuinely did not see most of the twists coming. This isn’t my usual kind of messed up…

Terminal Brewhouse Closing
While I normally post very lighthearted and fun posts this one is a bit more on the serious side. If there is not awareness drawn to the reasoning behind the Terminal Brewhouse closing, the future of our city very well may be effected in a very unfortunate way. Why Terminal Brewhouse Is Closing Last week Terminal Brewhouse announced on their Facebook page they will be closing due to irreconcilable lease issues. It is sad to see some of the original believers in the revitalization of the Southside Historic District pushed out due to something like this. The Stong Building The building that currently houses…

April Book Of The Month
The April book club pick is The Hunting Wives by May Cobb. The book has been out for about a year now and I’ve heard good things about how twisty and crazy it is and you know how I love my crazy books. The description on May Cobbs website says The Hunting Wives share more than target practice, martinis, and bad behavior in this novel of obsession, seduction, and murder. Sophie O’Neill left behind an envy-inspiring career and the stressful, competitive life of big-city Chicago to settle down with her husband and young son in a small Texas town. It seems like the perfect life with a beautiful home in…
