Credit Card Travel Hacks Part 1

Hacks for credit Cards with travel

Heads up: This post probably contains affiliate links. Buying something from them won’t cost you a cent more, but I will get a small commission which helps me bring you even more kick ass content

The first credit card travel hack in this series is all about earning discounts on stays with the Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card.

If you use a credit card with rewards points to earn the discounts on new stays you’ll be able to get cheaper hotel rooms and because of that you can take a long weekend to Chattanooga and experience what the Scenic city has to offer.

One credit card to help you maximize your hotel discounts is the Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card through Chase. When you sign up you get 3 free nights after spending $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months if you choose the boundless card. If the Bold card is more your style you will get 1 free night after spending $500 in purchases in the first 3 months.

I personally choose to use the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card as it earns 3 points per dollar on the first $6000 spent each year at gas stations, grocery stores, and dining. Every $5000 spent also earns me one night credit towards Elite status. I also earn up to 17 points for every dollar spent at Marriott Bonvoy hotels. So when I got to Wednesdays on Wheels at the Moxy Chattanooga I use my Boundless card to buy my Poptails. Giving me a great mixed drink with a King of Pops Popsicle while earning rewards points for my next travel adventure just for buying something I would have bought anyway.

When coming to Chattanooga you will be able to use your Marriott Bonvoy rewards points to stay at some of the coolest hotels in town. The Dwell Hotel is a member of the Design Hotels, The Moxy Chattanooga Downtown is great for the more hipster style stays, the Kinley Chattanooga Southside is an amazing hotel with a speakeasy hidden inside, the Westin is an unmissable part of the Chattanooga skyline, and the Edwin Hotel is the ultimate place to stay if you want that view of the Tennessee River and the Walnut Street Bridge. Those are just a few of the Marriott hotels Chattanooga has to offer.

Stay tuned for credit card travel hacks part II where we will talk about another amazing rewards card that you need in your life.
